A nice look into the life of a young man who was a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda while the guru was still embodied. It reads like you're hearing reminiscences while sitting on the patio sipping iced tea; casual, intimate, spontaneous, honest. Stories of Leo's devotion as well as moments of questioning. Gives some welcome light and insight into what it was like to be with Yoganada and be taught by him during that time. That's just what I was looking for and I enjoyed the stories very much. Thank you to Paul Gorsuch for this gift of this work.

For those who wish they were with Master this will take you there. He will also give you the perspective of Guruji's nature of always being with you. Your heart will open up to Master's great presence. Don't pass this one by.
It is always wonderful to hear stories of Paramahansa Yogananda and how he interacted in his daily life with his early disciples. I don't think we can ever hear enough of these stories! There is so much insight and wisdom that can be gained by these stories. I am thankful that these stories have been brought to us to enjoy and learn from.
Mr. Cocks had the privilege of knowing Paramahansa Yogananda in person, and his life was so much better because of that friendship. Both of them benefited, and this book contains wonderful stories of that time. If you know of Paramahansa Yogananda you will want to read this book. If you don't know him, you will benefit from learning about this wonderful, loving servant of God.
This is an inspiring, beautiful story about one of the great guru's early devotees! It provides a touching view of the training and love given to these early ones, and some wonderful spiritual lessons, as well. The beautiful memories of Leo are a divine confirmation of the greatness of a Sat-Guru. How Yogananda's love is unconditional and always there for the devotee. No matter our faults, He knows we are God's little children. No matter what, if we are willing and attuned He is always there helping us cross the ocean of delusion and suffering. The guru, the Sat-Guru, is not only a Master but a servant of God in us for our redemption. This book is so beautiful, the only thing is that the pictures are not as clear as the digital version. That's the only thing. The rest is pure, divine and magnanimous. What a precious spiritual jewel.

We knew Marcel and Leo in Northern California. Good people and Marcel in particular was very serviceful. She made wonderful cakes for our bake sales and served in other ways. Loved her greeting kisses.
I just was amazed how wonderful this book was. It really brought home so well, how compassionate caring and full of motherly love Yogananda was. One so often sees the recommending side of him and doesn't hear enough of how amazingly caring and forgiving and patient he was. This book really touched my heart and i am so glad it came out. Thankyou Paul and Eric for putting it together so well. A truly balanced manuscript for the ages. And look forward to getting it back from my friends so i can read it again.
